Guide to Hibachi | Japanese Hibachi grill | hibachi table for sale

If you are new to Japanese cuisine, some menu terms and traditions may be unfamiliar to you. But once you can match these names with delicious dishes, they will become familiar favorites. In addition, Japanese eating habits, such as pairing with the best sake, or ordering food at a Japanese Hibachi grill restaurant, will become second nature.

Popular Dishes

Cook is proud to introduce traditional Japanese dishes, while making every dish modern.

Udon. This noodle soup is made with hearty udon noodles, fried in a delicious miso sauce and sprinkled with all kinds of delicious things.

Unagi. "Unagi" means "freshwater eel" in Japanese. In addition to Unagi sushi rolls, cookeyaki also offers a large Unagi rice bowl, which uses grilling to push this popular eel dish to new heights. Top with sesame seeds and serve eel on a bed of vinegar rice.

Sake. Sake is made from fermented rice, and the variety ranges from sweet to fragrant. Like French and California wines, Japanese sake usually has fruit, vanilla and even flowers. Sake and sushi are a classic pairing. Your server can recommend a variety of sake based on the type of sushi you order.

Hibachi Culture

The "manners" of sitting at the Japanese Hibachi table is something diners don't have to worry about before going to a Japanese restaurant for the first time. Patrons are included in the fun-this is the whole point of a true hibachi experience.

The first Hibachi thing to understand is that unless your party is large, you will usually share a hibachi table for sale with other diners instead of having your own personal chef. A typical hibachi setup divides the seat into three sides (the fourth seat is reserved for the chef in and out). Be prepared to order food at the same time as the rest of the table, not just with your own team. Interacting with other customers is also fun; your chef’s non-cooking skills include encouraging this social spirit.

Also, be sure to book a room to make sure there is a space at hibachi table. If you are worried about the tipping process of a single chef, relax-the tip left when you pay the bill is divided between the chef and the waiter.
