Cookeryaki Teppanyaki Hibachi Grill Table | Maintenance | FAQ-2
11. What happens if I burn the teppanyaki table cooking surface?
Normally, all residues, even burnt ones, can be easily removed by just pouring a little water when the teppanyaki table for sales surface is warm—just like you clean stainless steel kitchenware—and then boil all the residues. If necessary, use a scratch-free spatula (we like a wooden spatula with a ruler for best results) and carefully loosen the residue little by little.
For heavy-duty work, add a small amount of "bartender friend" to the water and use it with a rag or paper towel or sponge according to the instructions on the package. Wipe off the residue and rinse thoroughly with clean water. Polish with a little vegetable oil.

In order to remove the last traces (if any-and only then), you can clean the entire surface with a small non-scratching sponge and treat the entire surface with metal particles.
Strike the water evenly for a long time to get the best results.
Never clean in circular motions, even with mild abrasives.
12. How do I deal with discoloration?
To remove white "blind spots" or blue discoloration, wait until the stove has cooled down completely. Cut the lemon in half, squeeze it lightly, and polish it with the cut side. Wash with a small amount of water, polish with a few drops of pure vegetable oil and paper towels or soft cloth.
Be sure to remove the excess oil to avoid staining your clothes.
13. How to maintain the Cookeryaki teppanyaki grill?
Keeping the surface clean is the key, so that no dirt or other particles will damage the stainless steel properties of the steel. Just wash it regularly with a damp cloth or warm soapy water, and then dry it. To remove fingerprints and/or polish the middle surface, use a little bit of ordinary vegetable oil or quickly spray non-stick cooking spray on a paper towel or soft cloth.
14. How to remove scratches on the surface?
Over time, the cooking surface will become "weary" and produce tiny scratches in daily use. Many customers like the "second-hand" appearance and call it "bronze". If it reaches your taste, as long as there is a professional metal particle "polished" surface.
Deep scratches should be removed because they may damage the stainless steel properties of steel.
15. What if it starts to rain when using electrical appliances outside?
Turn off your Cookeryaki machine, unplug it, and move it to a dry place. Do not turn on the power again until the device is completely dry. For safety reasons, you should not operate any electrical appliances in rain.
16. Will metal rust outside?
Cookeryaki is made of high-quality type 304 professional food-grade German stainless steel, which is one of the best alloys in the world and usually does not rust. However, if dirt or other particles adhere to the surface for a long time, they will damage the stainless steel properties of the steel. This may form molecular "holes" in the "protective layer" of stainless steel, which can start to rust. Wash your Cookeryaki often with warm soapy water to prevent the steel from reacting. When covering, make sure that there is no moisture underneath and the covering material allows air to circulate freely.
17. Can I use the Cookeryaki teppan plate outside, even when it is icy and snowy?
With this contact heating device, you can definitely. Because the food is in direct contact with the heat source, there is no loss of heat or energy. The heating element can withstand ambient temperatures up to -78°F (-62°C). However, the device should not actually be operated below -20°F (-28°C).
18. How to level a standalone table and/or portable teppanyaki?
Just pour a little water in the middle of a warm cooking center. If the fluid accumulates "off" the center, use pliers or fingers to adjust the nut (table only) under the foot plate until it is level (see assembly instructions). Of course, you can also use the level tool.
19. How can I hide the power cord of a Cookeryaki independent teppanyaki table?
You can cut two notches on the upper and lower edges of the bracket (large vertical tube) of the Cookeryaki outdoor teppanyaki grill, and then guide the cable through the inside of the bracket to the foot plate.
If you don't want to move your desk, you can drill a hole in the foot plate around the stand, and then lead the cable to the power socket under or near the foot plate.
20. Can I install an Cookeryaki teppanyaki grill on my yacht?
Of course, the premise is that your generator or connection produces the proper voltage and current necessary for operation (varies by model). The table can be energized from under the foot plate and can be bolted to your table.
Or plug the bracket into a socket on your deck. All Cookeryaki Customized Teppanyaki units can also be supplied with Type 316 stainless steel upon request.
