How to Clean Your Griddle?
Adding a Griddle to your kitchen will make it more attractive and give you the opportunity to make your menu more diverse. No matter how often you use the Griddle, the correct cleaning method is very important. Here are some steps to properly clean your Griddle:
Non-Chromium Surface
Use a Grill Scraper
Use your grill scraper to scrape excess food and grease into the trash drawer.
Griddle Brick
If a grill scraper cannot remove all the debris from your Griddle, use a griddle baking brick to wipe off the debris while the surface of the stove is still hot. Be sure to rub in the direction of the grain so that you don't damage the stainless steel surface.
Empty Drawer
At the end of each day, you should empty, clean and disinfect your trash drawer.
Clean the Surface
Once a week, you should unplug the griddle and wait for it to cool completely before cleaning. Use non-abrasive griddle cleaner and rinse thoroughly with water.
Readjust the Surface
After weekly cleaning, you should apply a thin layer of cooking oil, which helps prevent rust.
Chromium Surface
Scraper
After each use, use a spatula to remove excess grease and food residue.
Clean the Surface
At the end of the day, clean the surface with a mild soap and water mixture. Then wipe the surface with a damp cloth.
On chrome-plated surfaces, do not use pumice or Griddle stones, sharp spatulas, steel wool, or liquid grill cleaners to clean your griddle.
Adding a griddle to your restaurant and increasing your guests can help you diversify your menu. Proper maintenance of your Griddle is the key to keeping it functioning properly.
