The New Teppanyaki Griddle | How to clean it before using it?

Is teppanyaki griddle difficult to handle?

Of course not! Every teppanyaki griddle machine (even a campfire) requires a little maintenance. So, taking teppanyaki griddle as an example is like walking in the park. No soap washing, scrubbing or drying is required. All you need to care about is the condiments. This is what makes the surface non-sticky, so your meals will not get stuck in the teppanyaki griddle. Basically, it all boils down to oil seasoning and proper storage after use.

How to clean the new teppanyaki griddle before using it?

You just bought outdoor teppanyaki griddle. We know you just want to try, turn on the propane, cook some succulent steaks, and serve with potato chips, pancakes, eggs, potatoes and more! However, you can't be straightforward. You need to be prepared. This means that soap washing is only to remove any dirt or debris from manufacturing and transportation.

1. Fill a bucket of hot water
2. Mix it with soap
3. Use a towel and scrub the entire surface with soapy water to remove any residues during transportation and storage.
4. Dry the water with a paper towel
5. Let it dry completely before use or storage-this will prevent rust.

Note! Only use soap on a brand new teppanyaki griddle and rinse thoroughly. If you have done anything on that tablet, then throw away the soap! This is unnecessary, and it may leave residue on the teppanyaki griddle and affect the taste of your next meal.

After you clean it up, you must season your teppanyaki griddle. This creates a non-stick surface, so your meals will not stick to the metal. Please read how to do it in the next section.
