You may be wondering if you can put charcoal in the electric grill. The answer is yes. In addition to electricity, wood chips can also be used as fuel for electric grills.
Many electric smokeless countertop grills have space for chips, usually under the heat source. Therefore, you can use coal char, even if the electric grill is not primarily designed for them.
If I’m grilling outdoors, I like to add some char on my electric grill. Because it increases the charcoal smell of traditional grills without having to experience the trouble of ignition. Personally, I find that this brand of carbon black works well with most of my electric grills.
What is Wood Chips?
Sawdust is small wood chips, especially the size of shavings and waste, which are easy to ignite and burn. When burned in an electric cigarette grill, they become charcoal.
Popular wood chips that many people like are cedar, alder, pecan, cherry, and maple.
Both pine and cedar are cork, which produce dense smoke, which is bad for health.
Each wood chip has its own aroma, depending on the degree of smoke you like and the type of meat products you plan to grill. You can add any type of wood chips you like to your electronic grille.
I don’t add wood chips as often as I do for charcoal. But I have good experience with this brand of wood chips. It is great because it has 3 different woods, which just increases the diversity of your food.
